Our Schedule:

Day 1 & 2:   Remove the fixtures, wall and ceiling sheets and the floor tiles.  Change the plumbing and electrical.  Install the bath and start the sheeting of the walls and the ceiling.

Day 3:   The plasterers set the joints and hang the cornice.

Day 4:    The waterproof membrane is applied to the wall sheets in the shower recess and the entire bathroom floor.

Day 5 & 6:   The floor and walls are tiled.

Day 7:   The fixtures and accessories are installed. The shower screen is measured. (A standard screen takes approximately 5 days, a semi-frameless screen takes approximately 8 days and a frameless screen takes approximately 12 days).

A Typical Proposal:

Hello,

I would like to take this opportunity to present my proposal for your bathroom renovation.

Based on what you have told me, I’ve been able to pinpoint exactly what needs to be done to transform your bathroom.

Your investment to do this is $14,380. This price includes G.S.T.
If you would like the bathroom and toilet painted this will be an additional $880. This price also includes the G.S.T.

Work to be carried out as itemized:
· Remove the floor tiles and the wall sheets in the bathroom. The floor tiles in the toilet will also be removed.
· Replace the shower combination and install the bath.
· Pre-wire for 1 double power point and the 2-heat lamp IXL Tastic.
· Sheet the walls with Villaboard and the ceiling with Gyprock.
· Next the plasterer sets the joints, hangs the cornice and sands ready to paint.
· The floor as well as the wall sheets in the shower recess will have a waterproof membrane applied.
· The floor will be tiled on a concrete bed, around the shower recess to 2 metres and 1 metre high in the rest of the room.  The toilet floor will also be tiled and 1 tile high for the skirting.
· The mirror and the standard shower screen with clear glass will be measured and installed.
· Install vanity, taps, toilet and any additional accessories.
· Remove all of the rubbish.

The price includes allowances for personal choice items. If you supply any items I will deduct the full amount for that item. Allowance for tiles $870 at $30 per square metre and $200 for feature tiles.

You will require 24 meters of wall tiles and 5 meters of floor tiles. I have allowed for standard wall and floor tiling as well as standard feature tiles. If the wall tiles are more than 30 centimeters square there will be an additional charge of up to $20 per square meter.

If you choose porcelain tiles you need to notify me and get a quoted price to lay the tiles.

PLEASE NOTE. Should the sheets in your bathroom contain asbestos we use a licensed contractor in accordance with Work Place Health and Safety guidelines. Our contractor has the required "A" class licence to carry out this work.

Payment Terms: When you accept this proposal, you will have to pay $1,400 deposit, $7,000 when the walls are sheeted, $5,000 at the fit off and the balance when the shower screen has been installed.

In accordance with the rules of the Building Services Authority we have included the insurance premium of $189 that is paid to the B.S.A. with your property description.
